Aside from her MD duties, Ruella is responsible for supporting each team,  whether it's placing graduates into their first role in recruitment, placing experienced candidates or working with the Executive Team placing Senior Candidates. Ruella also runs a number of retained campaigns every year and has met nearly every candidate and client that Ruella James have ever worked with over the past 20 years. Ruella likes to be involved and prides herself of having a really good grasp of what’s happening with all of the candidates and clients that the company represents, whilst still running her own desk.

Before starting Ruella James, Ruella began her career in Telephone Sales for The Independent newspaper, and moved into recruitment with a small, independent firm before joining ‘The Accounts Team', part of 'Office Angels'. After learning about the industry and discovering a passion for recruitment, Ruella then started Ruella James - and, as they say, the rest is history! Ruella is proud to hold that same passion to this day, just as she did at the start of her career over 30 years ago.

When out of the office, Ruella enjoys spending time with her family, close friends and her new puppy, Teddy! Aside from this, Ruella enjoys going to the gym, spending time in the great outdoors and, when she's at home, loves a good board game!
